Something truly wicked is happening in Oz… The Wicked Witch of the West, against all odds, has mounted a growing campaign against our Wonderful Wizard, and continues to amass supporters. While Glinda the Good Witch continues to entertain and placate the masses, The Wicked Witch continues to expand an underground network of rebels for her cause. More and more Ozians find themselves missing from Glinda’s regular morale boosting speeches, and parts of the Yellow Brick Road are becoming impossible to cross. The regime is destabilizing, the Wicked Witch is threatening to raise the curtain, and threatening to expose the Wizard. Powerless, and a little dazed from drinking too much green elixir, the Wizard finds himself turning toward his most loyal friends to form an emergency cabinet to face the Witch.
Delegates will find themselves portraying people at the highest levels of the regime, like G(a)linda Upland and Madame Morrible, as well as those with regional and specialized control, like the Dean of Shiz University and Nessarose Thropp. Most of them powerless themselves, must figure out how to handle rising animal sedition, miscellaneous magical threats, and perhaps a traitor in their midst working for the Witch. Elphaba Thropp threatens to overthrow the current order that keeps them in power, and it is up to the members of this Cabinet to make sure it is maintained, at any cost.
