It’s a joyous time in the Four Nations. The Fire Nation has surrendered due to the heroic actions of Avatar Aang and his friends, and the war which had consumed the world has finally ended. However, while the world is at peace, it is an uneasy one. Questions over Fire Nation colonies, bender–non-bender tensions, and rapid technological progress are on everyone’s mind, but many may felt confident that the Avatar would be able to solve them because of his wisdom. But when the world needed him most, he vanished (again). Little is known of the Aang’s whereabouts, leaving behind only a cryptic note: “The spirits are restless. Something bad is coming”.
Unfortunately, the world does not wait for the Avatar. Given the prospect of the long term loss of Aang, the world has formed and given power to a temporary emergency council, composed of representatives from various interests across the Four Nations. With the hope of a peaceful world in their hands, delegates must navigate various challenges that arise in the immediate aftermath of the end of the hundred years war. This is much easier said than done however, as different interest groups, such as Earth Kingdom industrialists, non-bender extremists, and even those who wish to see Fire Lord Zuko fall, have all found themselves at the conference.
Will the council be able to stabilize and resolve the issues that plague the Four Nations? Or will the world fall back into chaos without the Avatar to guide it?
